May 2012: CIMI meeting in San Francisco (9th-12th)
Apr 2012: The CIMI reference model task force recommends openEHR RM as starting point for modelling work.
Jan 2012: The CIMI meeting in San Antonio does not decide on a reference model. SNOMED-CT is the preferred terminology.
Dec 2011: Invite Members to seed the 4 Program committees and the 4 Program lists of Qualified Members who are to provide advice on the governance of the assets for the program area in which they are qualified.
Dec 2011: CIMI group decides to use openEHR's Archetype Definition Language, developed by Thomas Beale, as the basis for clinical model expression.
Sep 2011: Establish the interim Board to oversee the transition to elected governance arrangements which are suitable for acceptance by a wider community than those working on openEHR.
Jan 2011: Participate in the formation of the international Clinical Information Model Initiative (CIMI) which is supported by the IHTSDO.
Dec 2010: IHTSDO votes not to proceed with taking on the governance of openEHR and to investigate different ways to develop clinical information models.
